Roberta S. Jacobson (born on 8 March 1962) has been the United States Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs since 30 March 2012. Roberta knows speak Spanish.

Was involved in the case of Alan Gross, a US contractor who was imprisoned in Cuba for five years and was released on 17 December 2014, when the presidents Raul Castro Ruz of Cuba and Barack Obama of United States announced in separate statements, the restoration of relations between the two countries.

Complying the announcement of the Presidents of Cuba and United States, was celebrated in Cuba on 22 January 2015, the meeting dedicated to the process of restoration of diplomatic relations and the opening of embassies. The US delegation was headed by her.

Chaired the second round of conversations of Cuba - United States held on 27 February 2015 in the Hall George C. Marshall Center of Department of State in District of Columbia.
